North Carolina law requires a service like ours to register with the North Carolina State Bar before operating here, and we will not open in North Carolina until that registration is complete. We are not a law firm, and we do not give legal advice about your specific situation. For matters that genuinely need a lawyer, we help you find one. For the many everyday problems people can handle themselves, we make the path clear and far less intimidating.
Why we go state by state
Court rules, deadlines, and the way everyday legal problems are handled are set by each state, so doing this responsibly means building each state carefully, one at a time, rather than publishing one-size-fits-all content that could mislead you.
North Carolina has a specific rule for website document providers: registration with the North Carolina State Bar under G.S. 84-2.2, with each template reviewed by a North Carolina-licensed attorney. Hello Court is a North Carolina company, and we hold ourselves to completing that registration before offering North Carolina help.
